- What can I expect from therapy?
First and foremost, you will receive a free initial session focusing on what you want out of therapy and determining if I am the best person to help you get it. After the initial session, Dr. Tindall will help you come up with a plan of attack to implement real change in your life. My services are solution-focused and aimed at helping you achieve health, empowerment, and growth.
- How much does therapy cost?
Dr. Tindall is dedicated to making therapy available for everyone. In order to get on most insurance panels, clinicians have to spend more time submitting paperwork and client information to the providers than they do helping their clients. Consequently, we do not currently work as an in-network provider for insurance companies. Dr. Tindall likes to focus on the therapeutic process and maintain confidentiality rather than submitting insurance claims. Arete Counseling Services will provide you with necessary information and billing statements so you can submit claims to your insurance company for out-of-network” reimbursement.
Therapy sessions with Dr. Tindall are anywhere between $80-$120/hour but if you cannot afford to pay this rate, please speak with us about our scholarship program. We do offer a scholarship-based, sliding scale fee structure to some clients based on financial need. Dr. Tindall realizes that not everyone can afford therapy and is dedicated to helping individuals with financial hardships. She has established a scholarship fund for individuals who need therapy but may not be able to afford it at the current time.
- What makes Dr. Tindall special?
In addition to having her Master’s degree in clinical psychology, Dr. Tindall also has completed her Doctorate in clinical psychology. Individuals with a doctorate will have a Ph.D. (graduating from a research-based psychology program) or a Psy.D. (graduating from a clinical-based program) after their name. Dr. Tindall graduated with her Psy.D. from the University of Denver and because her program was clinical in nature spent her time working each year at a clinical site doing therapy with clients under the supervision of a psychologist. She has worked as a guidance counselor in a high school, as a therapist in a child and family clinic, as a therapist in a dual diagnosis (co-occurring mental health and substance abuse issues) mental health center, a therapist at Craig Hospital, and as a therapist in the Counseling Center at Colorado State University. Dr. Tindall has amassed thousands of hours of face-to-face clinical hours in the course of her career.
Ask Yourself This...
- Are you someone who is skeptical of therapy or shrinks?
- Do you wish you had someone to talk to but feel that therapy is not for you and really does not work?
- Are you somebody who normally wouldn't need therapy but find yourself needing someone to help motivate you or change something in your life?
